“Um só clube. Um só futuro”, é desta forma que Famalicense Atlético Clube e o Famabasket anunciam a união dos dois projetos de basquetebol.
O propósito é “construir um projeto ainda mais sólido para o basquetebol em Famalicão”. Os dois emblemas falam, ainda, de “uma visão comum, uma identidade partilhada e a ambição de proporcionar as melhores condições para o crescimento dos nossos atletas”.
Recorde-se que os dois emblemas têm vários escalões de formação, masculino e feminino, na ordem de várias dezenas de atletas. O FAC tem, ainda, uma equipa sénior masculina no nacional da primeira divisão.
Um homem, com cerca de 30 anos, sofreu ferimentos graves na sequência de um incêndio, que deflagrou num frigorifico, numa residência em Vilarinho das Cambas, em Famalicão.
Para o local foram acionados os Bombeiros Voluntários de Famalicão, Cruz Vermelha de Ribeirão e VMER (Viatura Médicas de Emergência e Reanimação) de Famalicão.
O alerta para a situação foi dado cerca das 16h30.
A vítima, com queimaduras em várias partes do corpo, foi transportada de urgência para o Hospital de S.João, no Porto, por elementos da Cruz Vermelha.
As Festas Antoninas de Vila Nova de Famalicão terminam este sábado com uma novidade. À habitual sessão de fogo de artifício que assinala o encerramento das festividades junta-se, este ano, uma exibição aérea com 200 drones.
O espetáculo vai decorrer na zona do Parque da Devesa. O momento está marcado para o final do concerto de Nena, que sobe ao palco junto ao lago pelas 22h00 deste sábado.

Durante a tarde, a Praça D. Maria II recebe a iniciativa “Música Filarmonia ao Despique”, com a participação das bandas de música de Famalicão e de Riba de Ave.
Às 17h00 realiza-se a Procissão Solene em honra de Santo António, um dos momentos mais significativos das festividades, percorrendo as ruas da cidade. Pelas 18h30 entregues as distinções aos vencedores das Marchas Antoninas, em cerimónia na Praceta Cupertino de Miranda.
O encerramento das Antoninas 2026 está marcado para as 22h00, junto ao lago do Parque da Devesa, com o concerto de Nena. No final do espetáculo, o tradicional fogo de artifício, em formato de sessão piromusical.
A Assembleia da República aprovou a nova Lei de Política Criminal para o período de 2026 a 2028.

Na última reunião de Câmara foi aprovado um apoio financeiro no montante de 750 mil euros para as próximas três épocas. Deste valor, 150 mil são para execução de obras na Academia do FC Famalicão, e o restante para sponsorização para as três épocas e apoio ao fomento desportivo dos vários escalões de formação.
No que respeita a melhoramentos das instalações, o FC Famalicão vai criar mais gabinetes técnicos, obras em balneários e a sua adaptação ao futebol feminino. Previstas, também, intervenções nos relvados sintéticos.
Recorde-se que o FC Famalicão tem sob a sua alçada o futebol de formação até aos sub-15, inclusive; futebol feminino e futsal, ambos também com equipas de formação; e uma equipa de ciclismo.
