Na manhã desta quinta-feira, na reunião da Câmara Municipal, o vereador do CHEGA apresentou um Voto de Saudação aos Antigos Combatentes que foi aprovado por unanimidade.
Segundo a proposta do único eleito do CHEGA no executivo municipal, Pedro Alves, o voto pretende «prestar justa homenagem a todos os militares portugueses que serviram a Pátria em contexto de guerra, conflito ou missão operacional».
No passado dia 9 de abril assinalou-se o Dia do Combatente, «data de profundo significado nacional por reconhecer o dever, a coragem e o espírito de missão acima do seu interesse pessoal dos ex-combatentes».
Saudar os antigos combatentes, «não é apenas recordar o passado», refere Pedro Alves que acrescenta que «é afirmar valores permanentes como o patriotismo, a honra, a responsabilidade e a solidariedade». Por isso, o vereador diz que «Vila Nova de Famalicão tem o dever de prestar esta justa homenagem aos homens e mulheres que defenderam Portugal».
Depois da feira da oferta formativa, que decorreu recentemente em Vale S. Cosme, a Câmara Municipal tem a percorrer o concelho um Stand Itinerante da Educação para ajudar os alunos do 9.º ano a decidir o seu percurso formativo.
O stand está a percorrer, durante o 3.º período, os agrupamentos de escolas levando informação e orientação diretamente aos estudantes do 9º ano de escolaridade.
Este espaço, que já passou pelos agrupamentos Camilo Castelo Branco, D. Sancho I e D. Maria II, vai, no início da próxima semana, 11 e 12 de maio, para o AE Ribeirão; segue, depois, para o AE Terras do Ave (Pedome), nos dias 13 e 14: Em Gondifelos estaciona nos dias 18 e 19 e, por último, de 25 a 26 de maio, está em Joane, no Agrupamento Padre Benjamim Salgado.
No Stand Itinerante da Educação os alunos podem esclarecer dúvidas, receber materiais de apoio e guias informativos sobre ofertas formativas e, desta forma, planear de forma mais avalizada o próximo passo no seu percurso académico ou profissional.
Pelo segundo ano consecutivo, Diogo Costa sagrou-se campeão nacional pelo Lion City Sailors FC, formação de Singapura.
O jovem jogador, tal como o companheiro Rui Pires, que é de Mirandela, foram felicitados pelo Sindicato dos Jogadores.
Diogo Costa, de 22 anos, está no clube desde janeiro de 2025, emprestado pelo FC Famalicão, mas rapidamente convenceu e em julho assinou contrato por cinco épocas.
O deputado famalicense, membro da Comissão da Indústria, Investigação e Energia, defendeu em Copenhaga que a circularidade tem de ser encarada como uma estratégia de competitividade para a indústria europeia, «capaz de reforçar e estimular a inovação ao longo de toda a cadeia de valor, e não como um exercício de conformidade regulatório».
Paulo Cunha sublinhou, ainda, a necessidade de criar regras mais claras e estáveis para o setor, defendendo políticas que permitam tornar a transição sustentável mais viável para as pequenas e médias empresas. O famalicense também quer menos encargos administrativos e mais investimento em inovação, digitalização e reciclagem têxtil, para reforçar a competitividade da indústria europeia. «O grande desafio europeu é tornar a escolha sustentável também mais competitiva», considerou.
No Global Fashion Summit, uma das principais conferências internacionais dedicadas à sustentabilidade e ao futuro da indústria do têxtil e da moda, Paulo Cunha esteve ao lado de representantes da Comissão Europeia e da indústria.
No decurso do mesmo encontro, participou num debate centrado na forma como a Europa pode alinhar competitividade, inovação e circularidade, num contexto marcado por novas exigências regulatórias e pela necessidade de reforçar a capacidade industrial europeia.
Paulo Cunha também esteve numa mesa-redonda sobre incentivos à circularidade no setor têxtil e interveio no palco principal do evento, na apresentação do “2030 Circularity Blueprint”, iniciativa dedicada à aceleração da transição sustentável na indústria da moda.

A decisão está relacionada com o mau tempo previsto para os próximos dias.
A autarquia informa que todo o programa previsto para este fim de semana, como concertos, zona de restauração, irão manter-se, sendo que a Batalha das Flores ficará marcada para o domingo seguinte, dia 17, para o período da tarde.
