O final de tarde do último dia do ano fica marcado por um aparatoso acidente de viação a envolver dois carros e uma mota, na N204, em Viatodos, Barcelos.
O acidente deu-se cerca das 18h00 e provocou dois feridos, um dos quais ficou em estado grave.
No socorro estiveram os Bombeiros de Viatodos e a VMER de Famalicão.
O ferido grave foi encaminhado para o Hospital de Braga, enquanto que o ligeiro para Famalicão.
A Direção-Geral de Alimentação e Veterinária anunciou que foi detetado um terceiro foco de gripe das aves em Portugal, numa exploração de perus, em Praia do Ribatejo, Vila Nova da Barquinha (Santarém), tendo sido ativado o plano de contingência.
Em comunicado, a Direção-Geral de Alimentação e Veterinária (DGAV) indicou hoje que “foi confirmado um terceiro foco de Gripe Aviária de Alta Patogenicidade (GAAP) pelo Instituto Nacional de Investigação Agrária e Veterinária (laboratório nacional de referência para as doenças dos animais), em exploração de perus, em Praia do Ribatejo”, no concelho de Vila Nova da Barquinha.
Os dois focos anteriores foram detetados a 1 de dezembro, numa capoeira doméstica em Palmela, e a 23 de dezembro, numa exploração de perus em Óbidos, com cerca de 18 mil aves, existindo “uma ligação” entre essa exploração e o terceiro foco detetado a 30 de dezembro em Vila Nova da Barquinha, refere a DGAV, dando conta que, os primeiros dois focos “estão contidos, ainda que sob vigilância”.
Na exploração de perus em Praia do Ribatejo o plano de contingência já foi ativado e as medidas de controlo estão a ser implementadas.
Estas medidas, segundo a mesma nota, incluem a “inspeção aos locais onde foi detetada a doença e a eliminação dos animais afetados, assim como a inspeção às explorações pecuárias existentes nas zonas de proteção, num raio de 03 km em redor do foco, e notificação de vigilância num raio de 10 km”.
As autoridades também já procederam à “eliminação dos animais afetados”, que se estima em cerca de 06 mil, com os detentores das explorações a serem “indemnizados pelo abate sanitário dos animais, conforme previsto na legislação em vigor”.
A DGAV lembrou que “não existem evidências de que a gripe aviária seja transmitida para os humanos através do consumo de alimentos”, como carne de aves de capoeira ou ovos, tendo dado conta que “os trabalhadores envolvidos na eliminação dos focos registados e que lidaram diretamente com as aves infetadas foram rastreados” e estão “até agora com resultados negativos”.
“Na origem da doença estará a regular migração de aves selvagens na Europa, provenientes da Ásia e do leste da Rússia, que têm permitido a circulação viral e a sua transmissão a longas distâncias”, adiantou.
Face à “situação epidemiológica atual”, a DGAV defendeu ser importante cumprir as regras de biossegurança, assim como as boas práticas de produção avícola, evitando contactos entre aves domésticas e selvagens.
Devem ser cumpridos os procedimentos de higiene das instalações, equipamentos e materiais e mantida uma observação “diária e atenta” das aves de capoeira, incluindo os consumos de água, alimentos e os índices produtivos.
“Recorde-se que os operadores que detêm aves de capoeira ou aves em cativeiro são os primeiros responsáveis pelo estado sanitário dos animais por si detidos e, perante uma qualquer suspeita de doença, a mesma deverá ser imediatamente comunicada à DGAV. A deteção precoce de focos de infeção por vírus gripe aviária de alta patogenicidade (GAAP) é absolutamente essencial para a rápida e eficaz implementação no terreno das medidas de controlo da doença destinadas a evitar a sua disseminação”, concluiu.
A DGAV é um serviço central da administração direta do Estado, com autonomia administrativa.
A filial britânica do banco Santander distribuiu, por engano no dia de Natal, 130 milhões de libras (mais de 150 milhões de euros), que pretende recuperar, confirmou a Agência France Presse (AFP).
No dia 25 de dezembro, devido a um “problema técnico”, 75 mil pagamentos feitos por cerca de dois mil clientes profissionais do banco foram duplicados nas contas dos seus beneficiários, assumiu o Santander num comunicado enviado à AFP, confirmando a informação avançada pelo jornal britânico The Times.
As transações efetuadas a dobrar foram diretamente debitadas do banco e “nenhum cliente, em algum momento, pagou do seu bolso”, garantiu o Santander, referindo estar a trabalhar “com vários bancos em todo o Reino Unido para recuperar” as quantias em causa.

Vila Nova de Famalicão passou a ser considerado pelas autoridades de saúde um concelho de risco extremo para a pandemia de Covid-19.
Em relação à última semana, o território famalicense registou um grande agravamento do número de casos, tendo agora uma taxa de 963 infetados por 100 mil habitantes.
A semana passada a taxa rondava os 440 casos a cada 100 mil habitantes.
Já foi tornada pública a data do jogo entre o F.C.Famalicão e a B-SAD, adiado devido aos casos positivos de Covid-19 no emblema famalicense.
A partida, da ronda 16 da Liga Portugal Bwin, está marcada para dia 13 de janeiro às 18h00.
Com esta alteração, o jogo frente ao Paços de Ferreira – que estava inicialmente marcado para 14 de janeiro – passará para o dia 16 às 18h30.
