Três pessoas ficaram feridas, na sequência de um choque em cadeia, a envolver um veículo pesado e vários ligeiros, na A3, nas proximidades da saída de Santo Tirso.
O acidente deu-se cerca das 20h40, no sentido norte-sul, instantes depois de um episódio de queda acentuada de granizo.
Para o socorro foram acionados os B.V.Famalicão que asseguraram o transporte das vítimas para o hospital de Famalicão.

Com a depressão Kristin a atingir Portugal continental nas próximas horas, e a previsão de vento até 140 km/h, a Proteção Civil alertou a população para os efeitos desta vaga de mau tempo.

Vila Nova de Famalicão está sob Estado de Alerta Especial de nível IV, o mais elevado, na sequência das previsões do Instituto Português do Mar e da Atmosfera (IPMA), que apontam para vento muito forte, com rajadas suscetíveis de causar constrangimentos significativos.
Face à gravidade da situação, o Comando Sub-Regional de Emergência e Proteção Civil do Ave determinou a mobilização de todos os agentes de proteção civil, reforçando a capacidade de resposta a eventuais ocorrências, nomeadamente quedas de árvores, estruturas, danos em infraestruturas e interrupções na circulação rodoviária.
De acordo com o IPMA, o período mais crítico está previsto para a madrugada de 28 de janeiro, com diferentes níveis de aviso meteorológico:
Durante o Aviso Laranja, entre as 00h00 e as 03h00, são esperadas rajadas da ordem dos 100 km/h, podendo atingir os 120 km/h nas zonas serranas. Segue-se um Aviso Vermelho, entre as 03h00 e as 06h00, período em que as rajadas poderão alcançar os 140 km/h, representando um risco elevado para a segurança de pessoas e bens. Após esse período, o aviso regressa a Laranja, das 06h00 às 09h00, com rajadas novamente entre os 100 e os 120 km/h, sobretudo em áreas mais expostas.
A Proteção Civil deixa várias recomendações à população, apelando à adoção de comportamentos preventivos, como evitar deslocações desnecessárias durante os períodos mais críticos, afastar-se de árvores, andaimes, estruturas frágeis e painéis publicitários, e garantir a fixação de objetos soltos em varandas, quintais e telhados.
É ainda aconselhado especial cuidado na condução, sobretudo em zonas expostas, bem como a evitação de áreas arborizadas, zonas elevadas e a proximidade ao litoral. As autoridades reforçam a importância de seguir todas as indicações oficiais e acompanhar a evolução da situação através dos canais de informação.
