O Liberdade FC participou na 9.ª edição da S. Silvestre de Famalicão, com destaque para Eduardo Salazar que terminou a prova em 4.º lugar da geral e Tânia Silva que acabou na 11.ª posição.
A corrida teve lugar no dia 23 de dezembro, com o tradicional percurso de 10 quilómetros pelas ruas da cidade.
A Associação de Dadores de Sangue de V. N. de Famalicão promove, no dia 4 de janeiro, domingo, uma colheita de sangue no salão paroquial da Freguesia de S. Cosme do Vale, com o apoio do CNE nº 364 desta localidade.
A colheita de sangue será realizada entre as 9h00 e as 12h30 pelo Instituto Português do Sangue e do Transplantação que apela à participação de todos os cidadãos saudáveis, maiores de 18 anos e com mais de 50kg.
A Didáxis recebeu o Prémio de Mérito atribuído pela Junta de Freguesia, no âmbito das comemorações do 38.º aniversário da elevação de Riba de Ave a vila.
O prémio foi recebido pelo presidente do Conselho de Administração da Didáxis, José Lopes, que, na ocasião, destacou o contributo de todos quantos ajudaram a construir a história da instituição ao longo dos 50 anos celebrados este ano. Na sua intervenção, deu conta «do papel fundamental» que a Didáxis «tem desempenhado no desenvolvimento educativo, social e cultural» da vila ribadavense.
Em nota de imprensa, o estabelecimento de ensino refere que «esta distinção reconhece o percurso, o impacto e o compromisso contínuo da Didáxis com a comunidade, afirmando-a como uma instituição de referência no concelho e na região».
A cerimónia contou com a presença do vereador da Ciência e Tecnologia e das Freguesias, Augusto Lima, entre outras entidades locais e representantes da comunidade ribadavense.
A Junta de Freguesia de Arnoso (Santa Maria, Santa Eulália) e Sezures ofereceu presentes de Natal, adquiridos no comércio tradicional, às crianças do berçário, creche, pré-escolar e 1º ciclo que frequentam os estabelecimentos de ensino desta união de freguesias.
Com esta iniciativa, a autarquia associou-se às atividades promovidas pelas escolas, associações de pais e associação Engenho, assim como, às professoras, educadoras e auxiliares, reconhecendo «o empenho, a disponibilidade e o carinho que têm para com os alunos».
Com este gesto, a Junta de Freguesia proporcionou momentos de alegria e felicidade a todas as crianças, tornando estas época natalícia mais mágica.
O ator Ruy de Carvalho, de 98 anos, está internado desde sexta-feira depois de ter sofrido um ligeiro enfarte do miocárdio, encontrando-se estável e em recuperação. A confirmação foi feita este domingo à agência Lusa pela filha, Paula Carvalho.
De acordo com a mesma, o ator foi hospitalizado após se sentir indisposto, tendo os exames médicos revelado o enfarte de pouca gravidade. Apesar da boa evolução clínica, Ruy de Carvalho mantém-se internado por precaução e sob vigilância médica, tendo em conta a proximidade dos 99 anos. A família optou por não revelar o local nem a unidade hospitalar, por razões de privacidade, referindo ainda que qualquer atualização sobre o estado de saúde será comunicada pela filha.
