O presidente da câmara municipal de Vila Nova de Famalicão visitou, na tarde deste 24 de dezembro, os dois hospitais que funcionam no concelho famalicense, a unidade do Centro Hospitalar do Médio Ave e o Hospital Narciso Ferreira de Riba d’Ave.
Com esta iniciativa, que é já uma tradição anual, Paulo Cunha quis estar junto daqueles que, durante a noite de consoada, cuidam da saúde dos famalicenses e agradecer-lhes pessoalmente por isso.
Este ciclo de visitas continua, no último dia do ano, com o presidente da câmara a fazer uma ronda pelas forças de socorro e segurança que vão estar de serviço na entrada no novo ano.
Pelo 5º ano consecutivo o grupo “Provocar Sorrisos”, na tarde / noite da consoada, trocou a confusão da cozinha de casa pela de um quartel de bombeiros, para estar ao serviço daqueles que, por se encontrarem numa fase menos boa, não conseguiram preparar uma ceia de natal.
Este grupo serviu-se da cozinha dos bombeiros voluntários famalicenses e, com a ajuda dos alimentos doados por parceiros, conseguiram confecionar 15 ceias de natal.
As refeições foram entregues prontas a comer às famílias que não tinham possibilidade de as confecionar, enquanto que as famílias com cozinha receberam um cabaz com todos os alimentos para que pudessem ser cozinhados.
“Conscientes de que o isolamento é maior este ano, devido às recomendações das autoridades de saúde, e sabendo que cerca de 3.149 idosos iriam passar o natal sozinhos, a GNR procurou estar presente, em especial no dia 24 de dezembro, junto daqueles cujo isolamento é maior nestas últimas semanas e sobretudo na noite de consoada, data em que tradicionalmente se reúnem as famílias”, refere-se no comunicado da GNR.
A campanha, promovida pela Secções de Prevenção Criminal e Policiamento Comunitário, decorreu de 18 até quinta-feira e abrangeu 3.149 idosos.
A Guarda recorda que, segundo a Operação Censos Sénior 2020, foram sinalizados mais de 42 mil idosos que vivem sozinhos e/ou isolados, uma população vulnerável a crimes de burla.
O número de idosos que passaram o Natal sozinhos concentra-se mais nos distritos de distritos de Viseu, Vila Real, Leiria e Viana do Castelo.
“Neste momento histórico, marcado pela crise ecológica, e por graves desequilíbrios económicos e sociais, agravados pela pandemia do novo coronavírus, precisamos mais do que nunca da fraternidade”, disse o Papa na mensagem, que este ano foi entregue dentro da basílica de S. Pedro, sem a presença de católicos, devido às medidas impostas de combate à pandemia.
O papa exortou ainda para que haja vacinas para todos, “especialmente para os mais vulneráveis”, e rezou para que os nacionalismos fechados, o individualismo e a lei de mercado não impeçam que todos sejam vacinados.
Na mensagem foi também referido o continente americano, particularmente afetado pelas infeções pelo novo coronavírus.
“Que a eterna Palavra do Pai seja uma fonte de esperança para o continente americano, particularmente afetado pelo coronavírus, que tem agravado os inúmeros sofrimentos que o oprimem, muitas vezes agravados pelas consequências da corrupção e do narcotráfico”, afirmou o sumo pontífice.
Do salão de bênçãos da Basílica de São Pedro, Francisco fez ainda referência ao Chile e pediu que o menino Jesus “ajude a superar as recentes tensões sociais” e pediu que acabe “o sofrimento do povo venezuelano”.
Uma pessoa ficou ferida na sequência de um atropelamento, ao início da tarde desta quinta-feira, na freguesia de Outiz, em Vila Nova de Famalicão.
O atropelamento deu-se cerca das 12h15, numa das passadeiras da Avenida Jorge Reis, sendo que para o local foram acionados os B.V.Viatodos e Famalicenses.
A vítima, com cerca de 20 anos, foi transportada para a unidade de Vila Nova de Famalicão do Centro Hospitalar do Médio Ave.
O advogado Lázaro Ferreira, de Joane, recebeu uma carta do Vaticano a felicitá-lo pelo livro da sua autoria “A (Des) Proteção da Vítima”.
O assessor do Vaticano, Monsenhor Luigi Roberto, escreveu a Lázaro Ferreira, dizendo que a obra chegou às mãos do Papa Francisco, que além de agradecer o gesto considera o livro um importante «alerta a quantos, nas competentes instituições do Estado, olham e tratam com indiferença as vítimas da violência doméstica».
Uma mensagem que deixou Lázaro Ferreira muito sensibilizado e «recompensado pelos dois anos de trabalho no âmbito da proteção dos direitos humanos».
Lázaro Ferreira escreveu o livro “A (des)proteção da Vítima” em resultado do seu trabalho profissional e de uma reflexão sobre esta temática tão sensível.
