A famalicense Vanessa Carvalho renovou com o SC Braga para a temporada 2025/26. Para a fundista «cada renovação será sempre especial». Reconhece que está num clube com muita história no atletismo, legado para o qual quer contribuir. «Ano após ano, tem-se tornado mais motivador e desafiante fazer parte desta equipa em constante crescimento que, no fundo, se tornou família e é este espírito que me contagia todas as épocas e me faz vibrar em cada competição com este emblema», reage.
Ao longo das últimas épocas, a “guerreira” tem contribuído de forma decisiva para conquistas em campeonatos de Corta-Mato e provas de Estrada, reforçando o prestígio da equipa feminina. E há objetivos para a próxima época: «individualmente tenho como objetivo melhorar os meus records pessoais e se isso acontecer sei que estarei mais perto de chegar a um Europeu ou Mundial pela Seleção Nacional». Para esta época de inverno o foco está no Europeu de Corta-Mato que se realizará em dezembro, na cidade de Lagoa. Coletivamente admite que o objetivo passa por contribuir o máximo possível para o Nacional de Clubes de Corta-Mato «para revalidarmos o título nacional e podermos correr em busca do tricampeonato na Final da Taça dos Clubes Campeões Europeus».
Vanessa Carvalho sente «orgulho» em fazer parte da equipa feminina que voltou a vencer a Taça dos Clubes Campeões Europeus, fazendo história para o clube e para os adeptos. A atleta admite que o crescimento individual quer coletivo só foi possível «porque temos a inspiradora e colega Mariana Machado que é a bandeira do clube e nos transporta com ela e também todo o apoio e aposta do clube, em particular da secção de atletismo, proporcionando melhores condições e reforços, principalmente nestes últimos anos».

A Casa das Artes de Famalicão é membro oficial da European Children’s Film Association (ECFA), a maior rede europeia dedicada à promoção do cinema de qualidade para crianças e jovens.
O reconhecimento surge, precisamente, pelo papel que a Casa das Artes tem tido na promoção da cultura cinematográfica entre os mais novos, através do Close-Up.
E, falando de Close-Up, esta semana arranca a 10.ª edição. No dia 15 de outubro, às 10h00, no Agrupamento de Escolas D. Sancho II, também em Famalicão, estará presente João Lameira.
Na secção Sessões para Famílias, destaca-se “Looney Tunes: Daffy e Porky salvam o Mundo”, com projeção no dia 18 de outubro, às 11h00, na Casa das Artes.
Sobre a European Children’s Film Association – ECFA, foi fundada em 1988, funciona em rede com 161 membros, em 43 países; inclui realizadores, produtores, distribuidores, exibidores, festivais e educadores, todos comprometidos com o fortalecimento da visibilidade, circulação e impacto do cinema infantojuvenil na Europa.
Com a integração na ECFA, a Casa das Artes de Famalicão e o Close-Up pretendem promover práticas educativas e culturais que envolvam os jovens; reforçar as redes nacionais e internacionais de exibição cinematográfica; dar mais visibilidade às iniciativas do Close-Up dentro desta rede.
Filipe Abreu, um dos candidatos à Junta de Freguesia de Pedome, recorreu às redes sociais para denunciar um episódio que diz ter ocorrido na noite de domingo, durante os festejos da lista vencedora. Segundo o candidato, uma garrafa de vidro foi atirada contra a parede de um dos quartos da sua casa.
Apesar de os danos materiais serem reparáveis, Filipe Abreu afirmou que o sentimento de insegurança “é mais difícil de apagar”. O candidato lamentou ainda o silêncio da adversária Alexandra, que, segundo o seu relato, testemunhou o incidente e “nada fez”.
Contactada pela Cidade Hoje, a recém-eleita presidente de junta, Alexandra Silva, negou ter assistido ao ato de vandalismo e afirmou que não se revê nesse tipo de comportamentos. Confirmou que seguia na caravana, explicando que a paragem em frente à casa de Filipe Abreu serviu apenas para recolher uma bandeira que teria caído de uma viatura.
Alexandra Silva lamenta que Filipe Abreu tenha recorrido às redes sociais sem antes a contactar para um eventual esclarecimento. Garantiu que vai averiguar o sucedido, de forma a perceber se a garrafa foi lançada por alguém ligado à sua equipa. Ainda assim, sublinha que, mesmo que tal se confirme, é um ato que repudia totalmente e que terá acontecido à sua revelia.
A nova presidente considera ainda as acusações de Filipe Abreu um ataque ao seu bom nome e afirma que pondera agir em conformidade.

Os estudantes do Ensino Superior, Cursos de Especialização Tecnológica (CET) ou de Cursos Técnicos e Superiores Profissionais (CTeSP) têm de viver no concelho há mais de três anos e têm de estar a frequentar a primeira licenciatura, o primeiro mestrado, o primeiro CET ou o primeiro CTeSP, independentemente do estabelecimento de ensino (público ou privado).
