A Associação Nascer do Sol, de Mogege, inaugurou na segunda-feira, 15 de junho, a obra de requalificação da sede. A intervenção representou um investimento global de cerca de 150 mil euros, valor que engloba a aquisição de novo mobiliário. A comparticipação do município foi na ordem dos 62 mil euros.
O projeto incidiu na remodelação interna desta Instituição Particular de Solidariedade Social (IPSS), fundada em 24 de fevereiro de 1999, nomeadamente requalificação de pavimentos, paredes, tetos e instalações sanitárias e substituição de equipamentos e materiais elétricos.
A instituição desempenha um papel no apoio social aos mais idosos de Mogege e freguesias limítrofes, prestando assistência direta a 36 utentes: 16 integram a valência de Centro de Dia e 20 beneficiam do Serviço de Apoio Domiciliário (SAD).

Esta segunda-feira, dia 15, o Conselho Municipal de Segurança de Famalicão reuniu, no Salão Nobre da Câmara Municipal, para analisar a evolução dos indicadores de segurança no concelho.
Os responsáveis da Polícia de Segurança Pública, da Guarda Nacional Republicana, da Proteção Civil e da Polícia Municipal apresentaram números que indicam que o concelho famalicense regista níveis de criminalidade inferiores às médias nacional e distrital; os dados apontam, também, para uma redução global da criminalidade na ordem dos 11% face a 2024.
Apesar da evolução positiva, as autoridades alertaram para o crescimento das burlas, sobretudo através de plataformas digitais, redes sociais, mensagens de telemóvel e outros meios online.
Pese embora os números favoráveis, os responsáveis reconheceram que continua a existir uma perceção de aumento da criminalidade entre a população, nem sempre acompanhada pelos dados estatísticos.
«São indicadores que nos tranquilizam, mas que não nos acomodam, pelo que iremos continuar a trabalhar por um concelho cada vez mais seguro», realçou o presidente da Câmara Municipal, Mário Passos, que realçou o reforço recente da iluminação no campo da feira e a comparticipação em obras na esquadra da PSP de Famalicão e no posto da GNR.

No âmbito da Proteção Civil, o autarca reforçou ainda a vontade do município de avançar com uma Central Municipal de Operações de Socorro, integrando as três corporações de bombeiros do concelho, com o objetivo de garantir uma resposta ainda mais eficaz às populações.
A famalicense Cláudia Vieira, investigadora e oncologista no IPO do Porto, integra a equipa médica que está a desenvolver uma inovadora injeção com potencial para eliminar tumores na região da cabeça e pescoço. Os resultados alcançados nas fases iniciais dos ensaios clínicos têm gerado expectativa na comunidade científica, abrindo caminho para uma nova abordagem no combate a este tipo de cancro.
A terceira fase dos ensaios clínicos deverá arrancar em breve e poderá incluir doentes portugueses. A participação dos pacientes será determinada através de um processo de seleção internacional, realizado por sorteio entre os candidatos elegíveis.
