No Dia do Trabalhador, 1 de maio, os profissionais do setor da distribuição vão fazer greve, numa ação convocada pelo Sindicato dos Trabalhadores do Setor de Serviços.
A paralisação deverá afetar principalmente os grandes espaços comerciais, envolvendo empresas associadas à Associação Portuguesa das Empresas de Distribuição.
O sindicato defende melhores salários, combate à precariedade e apela ao respeito por esta data simbólica e pelo valor do trabalho digno.
Alunos do 9º ano do agrupamento de escolas de Ribeirão e D. Maria II, Gavião, e Conde de Arnoso, visitaram a Escola Profissional CIOR para tomarem conhecimento sobre os cursos ministrados neste estabelecimento de ensino. Esta iniciativa, com cerca de 300 alunos, decorreu na primeira semana deste mês, no âmbito da CIOR Open Days, um momento privilegiado para os alunos, orientados por diretores de curso e professores, visitarem as diferentes oficinas e laboratórios desta escola profissional.
A visita às novas e modernas instalações e equipamentos do Centro Tecnológico Especializado industrial de metalurgia e de metalomecânica, inaugurado dias antes pelo Ministro da Educação, Ciência e Inovação, mereceu a admiração e surpresa dos alunos que constataram «a natureza prática, técnica, tecnológica e inovadora dos vários cursos profissionais, assim como das suas metodologias de formação, baseadas no trabalho colaborativo e de projeto, orientados para, como futuros técnicos especializados, ingressarem no mercado do trabalho, cada vez mais necessitado em recursos humanos qualificados», ou para prosseguirem os estudos superiores, referiu o diretor da CIOR, José Paiva.
O município de Famalicão desvinculou-se juridicamente da participação que tinha nas escolas profissionais Forave, Cior e Artave para, entre outras razões, poder ajudar financeiramente estas escolas.
A Artave – Escola Profissional Artística do Vale do Ave, que construiu um edifício de raiz ao lado da Escola Secundária D. Sancho I (na antiga Cegonheira), está com dificuldades financeiras para concluir a obra, que se encontra parada há alguns meses. Esta revelação foi feita pelo presidente da Câmara na última reunião da Assembleia Municipal, que decorreu na última sexta-feira.
No caso da CIOR, a Câmara vai apoiar, com 215 mil euros, o Centro Tecnológico Especializado, e que foi inaugurado recentemente.
A Forave, com outros parceiros empresariais, vai construir uma nova escola profissional em Lousado.
Estas propostas foram votadas por unanimidade na Assembleia Municipal.
Como tem sido tradição nos últimos anos, o grupo de “Peregrinos de Vila Nova de Famalicão” volta a rumar ao Santuário de Fátima no mês de maio. A edição de 2025 desta peregrinação arranca no próximo dia 5 maio, pelas 20h45, com a habitual cerimónia de partida a decorrer no quartel dos Bombeiros Voluntários Famalicenses.
Este ano, são 130 os participantes, entre caminhantes e elementos de apoio, que integram esta peregrinação marcada pela fé, entrega e espírito de entreajuda.
A logística, já bem conhecida, inclui um camião TIR com chuveiros e zonas de apoio, carrinha frigorífica para alimentos, viaturas de transporte e até uma viatura cedida pelos Bombeiros Famalicenses. Todas as refeições são confecionadas no percurso e o grupo monta as suas próprias estruturas de pernoita.
Um homem de 65 anos sofreu ferimentos ligeiros na sequência de um aparatoso acidente rodoviário ocorrido na manhã desta segunda-feira na Estrada Nacional 206, no troço entre Famalicão e Guimarães, mais concretamente na zona das curvas da Somelos, em Ronfe.
O sinistro envolveu a colisão entre um microcarro e um automóvel ligeiro de passageiros, provocando elevados danos materiais e mobilizando meios de socorro de emergência.
A vítima, assistida pelos Bombeiros de Guimarães foi transportada para o hospital local.
