O famalicense é escolha da direção do clube para suceder a Miguel Santos que deixou as funções de treinador principal do plantel feminino. O famalicense já vai orientar a equipa neste sábado, em jogo da jornada 9 da Liga BPI, frente ao Valadares Gaia.
Rui Baptista assume «um desafio que foi proposto pela direção e que não podia deixar de aceitar. É um regresso a um clube onde já escrevemos história e que nos diz muito. O futebol feminino é, de facto, um desafio, pelo patamar de desenvolvimento que tem tido nos últimos anos e queremos desenvolver um processo e uma ideia de jogo», disse nos primeiros dias ao leme da equipa.

Duas pessoas, avó e neta, que passavam a Avenida do Brasil, foram atropelados por um veículo. O acidente aconteceu depois das 16 horas e as vítimas estão, ainda, a ser assistidas no local pelas duas corporações de bombeiros e pela VMER.
Segundo informações recolhidas no local, as vítimas estariam a passar a via na passadeira quando foram colhidas por um automóvel. Ainda segundo as mesmas fontes, a jovem não terá sofrido ferimentos, enquanto que a sua avó está a ser avaliada.
A Avenida do Brasil, no sentido Rotunda dos Moutados e o centro da cidade, está cortada ao trânsito neste momento.
Luís Paulo Rodrigues apresentou, esta quinta-feira, o livro “Cem Anos de Superação – A Eléctrica 1924-2024”. «Escrever um livro histórico é fazer um contraponto face ao caminhar apressado dos tempos atuais e evitar que conteúdos preciosos sejam perdidos na espuma dos dias. Registar a história é colaborar na construção de memórias coletivas, uma missão que abraço com entusiasmo», explica, desta forma, Luís Paulo Rodrigues, a edição deste livro.
O novo livro do consultor de comunicação dá a conhecer as vicissitudes de “A Eléctrica”, uma marca histórica no comércio e na indústria de Vila Nova de Famalicão, que continua ativa e inovadora na indústria metalomecânica.
Na apresentação, que decorreu na Biblioteca Municipal Camilo Castelo Branco, o neto do fundador e CEO da empresa referiu que «Os 100 anos de história demonstram que a principal força da ‘Eléctrica’ está nas pessoas que serviram e servem a empresa com uma cultura muito especial, a chamada ‘cultura AE’, como designamos internamente, um conceito inerente à responsabilidade de se fazer parte de uma empresa que possui um estatuto e uma reputação de seriedade, honestidade e profissionalismo que nunca pode ser beliscada, referiu Carlos Correia.
A empresa foi fundada por António Dias da Costa, em 16 de fevereiro de 1924. Conhecida como “A Eléctrica”, que começou por ser distribuidora de eletricidade na vila famalicense e freguesias envolventes, foi um conglomerado de vários negócios, desde a distribuição de eletricidade à venda de material elétrico, passando pela comercialização de automóveis e camiões, materiais de serralharia para construção civil e elevadores para automóveis, pela distribuição de materiais de construção, gás e combustíveis, pela reparação de automóveis, pela restauração, entre outros negócios.
Além da apresentação na biblioteca municipal, o livro “Cem Anos de Superação – A Eléctrica (1924-2024)” teve uma pré-apresentação para trabalhadores, fornecedores, clientes e familiares do fundador da empresa, no dia 13, no Bar Kasa Al Arabiya (antiga sede de A Eléctrica), no nº 131 da Rua de Adriano Pinto Basto, em Vila Nova de Famalicão.
