Uma delegação do Rotary Club de Famalicão, representada por Mário Miranda, Miguel Varela e Armindo Cunha, entregou, esta terça-feira, 11.350 euros para ajudar a suprir carências da ala pediátrica do Instituto Português de Oncologia do Porto.
Este donativo, entregue ao presidente do Conselho de Administração e a um vogal, resulta das receitas angariadas no decurso do Torneio de Golfe Solidário, realizado em junho passado, pelo clube rotário famalicense.

A equipa de resgate animal do CROA de Famalicão foi acionada, na tarde desta quarta-feira, para proceder ao salvamento de um gato que terá caído a um poço com 14 metros de profundidade, na freguesia de Seide S.Miguel.
Apesar do elevado risco, o operacional da equipa de resgate decidiu arriscar e descer pela parte exterior até ao fundo do poço, existindo a possibilidade do deslizamento de terras. Antes da descida, e graças à colaboração de um empreiteiro, foi possível remover algumas pedras de grandes dimensões que não ofereciam segurança à operação em curso.
Cerca de 2h30 depois, a operação foi dada como concluída. Apesar de debilitado, por ter estado pelo menos durante quatro dias naquele local, o gato acabou por ser resgatado com vida e encaminhado para o Centro de Recolha Animal do concelho.
O estado de saúde de felino foi avaliado no momento e será acompanhado pela equipa do CROA.
O deputado famalicense do PSD, foi proposto para vice-presidente do Grupo Parlamentar na Assembleia da República.
