O Passe Sénior chega a perto de 1800 famalicenses e, desde maio passado, deixou de ter restrição horária, podendo ser utilizado nos dias úteis e fins de semana e feriados.
O título de transporte, que se destina a cidadãos com idade igual ou superior a 65 anos, bem como a reformados residentes no concelho famalicense, tem um custo mensal para o utente de 7,73 euros.
À semelhança do Passe Estudante, também o Passe Sénior é apenas válido para as 49 linhas municipais que compõem a rede de transporte público rodoviário em Vila Nova de Famalicão, contratada pela Câmara Municipal à empresa Transdev.
O Passe Sénior pode ser solicitado e carregado na bilheteira instalada na Estação Rodoviária de Famalicão. A sua requisição tem um custo de 5 euros.
Em agosto, os dias de domingo (6, 13, 20 e 27) serão mais animados em Famalicão. No centro da cidade vai ser possível encontrar palhaços, modeladores de balões, animadores em andas, pinturas faciais, mascotes, entre outras dinâmicas no âmbito do “Vai à Vila em Festa”.
O responsável é o grupo “Moov Animações” que vai alegrar as principais artérias do centro da cidade das 10h00 às 13h00 e das 17h30 às 19h00.
A animação do centro da cidade intensificou-se desde que a cidade foi renovada. O epicentro tem sido a Praça D. Maria II juntamente com a Praça/Mercado Municipal. Embora as principais artérias tenham outros motivos de atração, como é o caso da instalação artística “Fio Condutor”, que sai do edifício municipal, e cobre a Rua Adriano Pinto Basto até à Alameda D. Maria II.
Prosseguindo a dedicação ao outro, o Lions Clube de Famalicão entregou uma cama articulada a uma utente de S. Simão de Novais, sinalizada pelos serviços do Centro Social da Paróquia de Ruivães.

Decorre, em bom ritmo, a instalação do novo relvado sintético no campo principal do Complexo Desportivo de Nine. A obra teve início no dia 24 de julho e, pela foto, é visível a evolução dos trabalhos que deverão estar concluídos em breve, para permitir que o plantel possa treinar no espaço. Recorde-se que, depois do regresso aos trabalhos, no dia 22 de julho, o grupo liderado por Mário Jorge tem treinado no campo de futebol de 7.
No entanto, as mudanças em Nine não se ficam pelo relvado. Estão em curso melhoramentos significativos nos balneários que, de futuro, terão mais conforto. Intervenções profundas que resultam da aposta da direção, liderada por Amadeu Costa, no melhoramento das infraestruturas.
A Associação Desportiva Ninense corre para a nova época desportiva, na Pró Nacional da AF Braga, não fugindo ao seu passado: manutenção de muitos atletas, promoção de juniores e uma aposta na melhoria das instalações desportivas. «É esta a nossa realidade a que não queremos fugir», apontou Amadeu Costa, no dia da apresentação do plantel ao trabalho.
O treinador Mário Jorge traça como linha mestra a continuidade ao que foi feito no passado recente, «com resultados interessantes e com a juventude a dar uma resposta muito positiva». As expectativas são as mesmas dos últimos anos, com o treinador a manter um discurso «consciente», balizado na realidade do clube: «um forte aproveitamento da formação, com uma inerente diminuição dos custos».
O Devesa Sunset arranca esta sexta-feira, dia 4 de agosto, com os catalães Pol Batlle e Rita Payés. Como já foi divulgado, Cassete Pirata, Bia Maria & Carlos Sanches e Salvador Sobral compõem o restante cartaz da iniciativa, promovida pela autarquia local.
Desde 2015 que o Devesa Sunset realiza-se todas as sextas-feiras do mês de agosto, num ambiente descontraído que leva a cultura ao encontro da natureza. Os concertos decorrem junto ao lago do Parque da Devesa, têm início às 19h00 e entrada livre.
Nesta primeira sessão, o compositor e cantor Pol Batlle apresenta-se ao público português com o seu primeiro disco – Salt Mortal – produzido pelo galardoado Grammy Latino Juan Berbín. Acompanhado pela voz de Rita Payés, a tour de apresentação do álbum já passou por países como Espanha e Itália.
No dia 11, o Devesa Sunset recebe um nome seguro da cena indie portuguesa, os Cassete Pirata. Formados por Pir (voz e guitarra), João Pinheiro (bateria), António Quintino (baixo), Joana Espadinha (teclas e voz) e Margarida Campelo (teclas e voz), os Cassete Pirata deram-se a conhecer em 2017 através de um EP homónimo produzido por Benjamim, que viria também a produzir os primeiros álbuns da banda, “A Montra”, em 2019, e “A Semente”, em 2021. Para a temporada de 2023, os Cassete Pirata trazem novos singles.
A terceira sexta-feira de agosto, dia 18, é de Bia Maria & Carlos Sanches, unidos pela vontade de contar histórias através de canções. Considerados nomes emergentes no panorama musical português, ambos têm trilhado caminho por salas e festivais nacionais. Depois dos EPs lançados em 2022, com Bia a desvendar “Do Roberto” (considerado um dos melhores do ano pela crítica) e Carlos “A Migração das andorinhas (com menção honrosa nos prémios “Novos Talentos Fnac” com “Clara em Contraluz”), este concerto celebra o encontro de estilos e vivências, mas sobretudo a amizade.
O Devesa Sunset encerra no dia 25 de agosto com Salvador Sobral. O músico português junta, mais uma vez, os guitarristas André Santos e Manuel Rocha para um concerto inédito que revisita o seu último álbum “bpm” e descortina um pouco de “Timbre”, o próximo registo de originais com edição marcada para 29 de setembro.
Castelões assinalou o Dia da Freguesia, no passado domingo, com uma homenagem à Mulher. Aquelas que ajudam ao desenvolvimento da sociedade em geral e da freguesia em particular. «Sentimo-nos honrados e gratos por ter contado com mulheres de grande valor», referiu o presidente de Junta, Francisco Sá. «Foram mulheres de grande valor, castelonenses de alma e coração. Deram tudo o que sabiam, figuras ímpares da nossa história. Mulheres interventivas e com um papel muito ativo na construção de um Castelões dinâmico e com vida. Estamos deveras agradecidos», referiu o autarca.
Na lista das homenageadas está Teresa Leite, assistente operacional da Escola Básica de Castelões, que esteve ao serviço da educação mais de três décadas. «Tantos de nós levaram a sua marca no coração. Foi uma mulher dedicada que nos ajudou a crescer enquanto pessoas. Não escola também conta os que nunca dão a cara, mas entregam a sua dedicação e generosidade. Foi um privilégio contar com o seu trabalho», elogiou o autarca de Castelões.
À sessão solene compareceram pessoas da freguesia, representantes dos movimentos e eleitos municipais: o vice-presidente da Câmara Municipal, Ricardo Mendes, e a 2.ª secretária da mesa da Assembleia Municipal, Susana Ferreira.
Francisco Sá considera o Dia da Freguesia uma forma de enaltecer a história e de estreitar laços com a comunidade. «Celebramos as nossas gentes, os nossos antepassados e todos os que honraram e empenhadamente contribuíram para o presente que hoje vivemos e que resulta também do árduo trabalho, dedicado e esforçado de muitos no passado, assinalou.
Mas lembrou o muito que há para fazer em prol de um melhor futuro para Castelões e chamou a Câmara para continuar a ser parceira. «Sem a Câmara Municipal, como parceira e amiga, não teríamos conseguido tanto. Mas queremos mais, queremos ir mais além e ver concluídas as obras de requalificação da zona envolvente aos Aquedutos (arcos), a criação de uma zona de lazer no Gorgulhão, a repavimentação de vários arruamentos e a conclusão de saneamento básico», reivindicou. Da sua postura como autarca, Francisco Sá promete uma autarquia «próxima, participativa, cada vez mais aberta à comunidade, cada vez mais interventiva e preocupada com o bem-estar de todos».
O vice-presidente da Câmara de Famalicão, Ricardo Mendes, enalteceu a importância deste tipo de celebrações no fortalecimento dos laços da comunidade. «Numa altura em que o Eu está cada vez mais enraizado na nossa sociedade, estas comemorações dignificam os laços e os valores de uma comunidade, mas sobretudo a partilha desses laços e dos valores do coletivo», sustentou Ricardo Mendes.
Ricardo Mendes elogiou a proximidade com os habitantes como marca da gestão do presidente da Junta. Enalteceu, ainda, o desenvolvimento conseguido na localidade, garantindo a continuidade do apoio do município aos próximos projetos.
