A Unidade Local de Saúde do Médio Ave prepara-se para avançar com um conjunto de investimentos no Hospital de Famalicão, com o objetivo de modernizar os serviços e reforçar a resposta aos utentes da região.
Entre as principais obras está a construção de um novo edifício de internamento pediátrico, que ficará localizado junto à Clínica da Mulher e da Criança e pretende oferecer melhores condições de atendimento às crianças e às suas famílias. O projeto está a ser desenvolvido em articulação com o Município de Vila Nova de Famalicão.
