A associação de Pais e Encarregados de Educação da EB1,2 Dr. Nuno Simões está a organizar uma caminhada no monte de Santa Catarina, na manhã do dia 3 de maio, a partir das 10h00.
A iniciativa contempla uma aula de zumba com o professor Diogo Costa após o final da caminhada e a associação convida ainda para um almoço convívio em jeito de piquenique.
As inscrições podem ser feitas até ao dia 28 de abril e tem um custo de 5 euros para adultos e 4 euros para crianças dos 3 aos 12 anos. Os participantes irão receber uma t-shirt, um saco, água e lanche.

O Partido Socialista propõe a criação do Parque Eco-Arqueológico das Eiras. A proposta de recomendação, apresentada pelo vereador Sérgio Cortinhas na última reunião de Câmara, tem como objetivo «preservar, valorizar e promover» o Conjunto Arqueológico das Eiras, situado na zona do Castro das Eiras, que abrange as freguesias de Pousada de Saramagos, Joane, Vermoim e Vale (São Martinho) e União das Freguesias de Vale (São Cosme), Telhado e Portela.
Em comunicado, o PS recorda que este conjunto arqueológico foi classificado como de Interesse Público a 1 de setembro de 2022 (portaria 659/2022), classificação que foi o reconhecimento da sua importância arqueológica, histórica e paisagística. O PS realça que, todavia, este território é, atualmente, «de acesso livre, sem qualquer proteção ou restrição, e, por isso, tem-se degradado, de dia para dia, devido a movimentação de terras e despejo de entulho, a incursões descuidadas de pessoas e velocípedes que, não conhecendo ou não reconhecendo o seu valor histórico, têm destruído e desfigurado este património».
Com o objetivo de preservar e valorizar este território, os eleitos do PS propõem, «assim que seja possível, que o município negoceie e adquira os terrenos que constituem o Conjunto Arqueológico das Eiras».
O Partido Socialista sugere, ainda, a inclusão de várias valências, como a criação de um centro de investigação e interpretação para acesso de investigadores, alunos das escolas e da comunidade em geral, trilhos pedestres, zonas de lazer e a criação de uma área florestal municipal protegida que abranja toda a zona do Alto das Eiras.
O Conjunto Arqueológico das Eiras é formado pelo Castro das Eiras, um dos maiores povoados da Idade do Ferro na região Norte de Portugal, incluindo um balneário com profusa decoração de pedras graníticas, onde se descobriu a Pedra Formosa; a Necrópole de Vermoim, composta por quatro mamoas; o Castro de Santa Cristina, com plataforma central definida por talude e muralha em pedra; o recinto muralhado do Castro de Vermoim (Castelo de Vermoim), envolvendo a acrópole, junto do qual se situam os vestígios defensivos medievais do castelo da localidade, palco de importantes episódios históricos à época do Condado Portucalense; a Atalaia de Telhado, também datada da Idade Média; e, finalmente, a Bouça do Pique, povoado do século III a.C.

Este fim de semana, o Team Transfradelos vai estar na Baja TT Norte de Portugal, na terceira prova do Campeonato de Portugal de Todo-o-Terreno, que se vai realizar em Valpaços, Vimioso, Murça e Macedo de Cavaleiros, na região transmontana.
A competição começa na sexta-feira com as verificações técnicas e o Prólogo. No sábado a corrida tem 250 km e no domingo três setores seletivos com 82 km entre os pisos de terra da região.
O Team Transfradelos vai estar em prova com Tiago Reis, Edgar Reis e Daniel Silva, todos em TAURUS T3 Max, da categoria T3.
Daniel Silva que vai estar acompanhado por Tiago Magalhães afirma o objetivo de “fazer uma prova limpa, que foi o que nos faltou na última corrida. Temos conseguido bons registos, mas está a faltar-nos uma prova sempre no mesmo ritmo, sem problemas e estamos confiantes que o vamos conseguir fazer nesta prova”.
Confiante está também Edgar Reis “temos andado bem com o TAURUS e queremos estar entre os melhores da nossa categoria”, afirmou o piloto.
Tal como em 22/23 e 23/24, o Campeonato Nacional de Xadrez Feminino regressa a Vila Nova de Famalicão. Este ano, a competição terá lugar na Casa do Território – Parque da Devesa, entre os dias 1 e 4 de maio, com a mestre FIDE, Inês Silva, do Clube de Xadrez da Didáxis, a defender o título conquistado na época passada.
A prova, disputada em ritmo clássico, vai consagrar a nova campeã nacional feminina e, em simultâneo, realizar-se-á nos Serviços Educativos do Parque da Devesa o Torneio de Xadrez do 50.º aniversário da Didáxis, também em ritmo clássico. Esta competição está limitada a 50 jogadores.
Os dois eventos são organizados pela Federação Portuguesa de Xadrez, com o apoio da Cooperativa de Ensino Didáxis e da Associação Académica da Didáxis, e contam com o patrocínio do Instituto Português do Desporto e Juventude e da Câmara Municipal de Vila Nova de Famalicão.
