A Conferência Episcopal Portuguesa (CEP) determinou, esta sexta-feira, a suspensão da celebração comunitária das eucaristias até “ser superada a actual situação de emergência”.
Os bispos portugueses referem a necessidade de seguir “as indicações diocesanas referentes a outros sacramentos e actos de culto, bem como à suspensão de catequeses e reuniões”.
Estas medidas, indica a CEP, devem ser complementadas com as possíveis ofertas celebrativas na televisão, rádio e internet.
A decisão surge “em consonância com as indicações do Governo e das autoridades de saúde”.
Na sequência da evolução do vírus COVID 19 e, atendendo às orientações da Direção Geral da Saúde (DGS), a Câmara Municipal de Vila Nova de Famalicão decidiu cancelar a próxima edição dos Dias à Mesa, que estava prevista para os dias entre 2 e 5 de abril e seria dedicada ao Cabrito.
A iniciativa estava associada à I Feira dos Doces de Páscoa, promovida pela Confraria das Santas Chagas, que já tinha sido cancelada.
A Comissão Política Concelhia do PSD de Vila Nova de Famalicão adiou a realização das próximas duas sessões da iniciativa “Segundas na Sede”, agendadas para os dias 16 e 23 de março, face às recomendações da Direção Geral de Saúde (DGS) relativamente ao COVID-19.
A decisão de retomar a iniciativa, que nos últimos meses tem mobilizado a sociedade famalicense em vários debates e reflexões, será ponderada após esse período.
Esta decisão da concelhia está em sintonia com as recomendações da Comissão Municipal de Proteção Civil de Famalicão e da DGS e respeita a recomendação da Comissão Política Nacional do PSD a todas as estruturas do partido para que “não realizem reuniões ou Assembleias até nova orientação”.
As operadoras de telecomunicações uniram-se e, numa ação única, vão oferecer canais de desporto premium e 10gb de internet móvel aos portugueses.
A oferta dirige-se a todos os clientes “particulares ou empresariais dos três operadores”, que podem subscrever a oferta através da app de cliente ou site, entre 17 e 31 de março.

O primeiro-ministro confirmou o encerramento de todos os estabelecimentos de ensino até à Páscoa, remetendo para a altura uma avaliação de como será o terceiro período escolar, o que deve acontecer no dia nove de abril.
António Costa relembrou que ainda ontem que o Conselho Nacional de Saúde determinou o não encerramento dos estabelecimentos de ensino, a não ser em caso de solicitação expressa das autoridades de saúde, explicando que a suspensão decretada esta quinta-feira aconteceu depois do Centro Europeu para o Combate às Doenças ter emitido um parecer em que pede o encerramento das escolas. Sem consenso dos dois lados, Costa assumiu como atitude prudente suspender todas as atividades letivas, sublinhando que as decisões serão tomadas com base no conhecimento cientifico, explicando que o consenso técnico ainda não está consolidado em várias matérias sobre o novo coronavírus (Covid-19).
Nos últimos dias e perante o anúncio dos primeiros casos confirmados, foram várias as instituições de ensino que encerraram portas ou suspenderam aulas.
Para além do encerramento dos estabelecimentos de ensino, o primeiro-ministro também decretou “o encerramento das discotecas e estabelecimentos similares”, a redução “a um terço da lotação dos estabelecimentos de restauração” e a limitação “da frequência de centros comerciais e serviços públicos”. As visitas a lares de idosos passam a estar restringidas em todo o país. Sobre os cruzeiros, estes continuarão a aportar para reabastecer, mas não será permitido o desembarque de passageiros – com exceção para os que sejam residentes em Portugal.

Na comunicação feita esta quinta-feira à noite ao país, depois da reunião do Conselho de Ministros e da reunião com representantes de todos os partidos, António Costa agradeceu o contributo de todos, sublinhando ter sentido “de todos os partidos sem exceção o empenho de partilharmos em conjunto esta batalha”. “Não há o partido do vírus e do antivírus, esta é uma luta pela nossa própria sobrevivência”, disse.
Salientando que atualmente “o mundo enfrenta uma situação excecional e que coloca desafios imensos”, Costa apelou ao “sentido de comunidade, de partilha de vida em comum”, acrescentando que “cada um de nós tem como primeiro dever protegermo-nos uns aos outros”, pedindo um “esforço coletivo para combater” esta crise.
Entre os esforços que são pedidos está o limitar “ao máximo o nível de circulação e de contacto social”. “Temos de assumir e partir do princípio que esta pandemia no continente europeu, e em Portugal, ainda não atingiu o seu pico, está em fase de evolução. É muito provável que nas próximas semanas mais doentes venham a ser contaminados, por ventura com mais consequências para a sua saúde, e que este surto possa ser mais duradouro do que estimámos inicialmente”, diz Costa.
Reforçando mais uma vez a responsabilidade coletiva, Costa pediu que sejam levadas a sério as medidas de higiene, explicando que o encerramento das escolas não se deve ao facto de serem um local de contaminação, mas por serem local de elevado contacto social. Neste sentido, solicitou aos jovens que não vão ter aulas que limitem ao máximo as suas deslocações e convívio social.
“Nenhum de nós sabe se é portador do vírus, por isso temos de ter uma enorme responsabilidade para enfrentarmos como comunidade esta ameaça nova que estamos a viver. Só juntos a conseguiremos enfrentar”, afirmou António Costa.
Reforçar o SNS e assegurar rendimento de pais que fiquem com crianças em casa
O primeiro-ministro antecipou ainda que o Conselho de Ministros irá adotar “um conjunto de medidas que serão desenvolvidas”, entre as quais o reforço da capacidade do Serviço Nacional de Saúde “para responder a esta situação de crise, o salvaguardar da situação de emprego e garantir o rendimento das famílias, em particular daquelas que, quer por motivo de doença própria relativamente ao próprio ou por familiar ou encerramento do estabelecimento de ensino”.
Entre as medidas anunciadas, Costa salientou os apoios aos familiares para os que estão com alguém de quarentena, explicando que as baixas médicas serão “extensíveis aos trabalhadores independentes, a recibos verdes”. Uma vez que a lei ainda não prevê nenhuma medida para situações como esta de os pais terem de ficar em casa com os filhos devido ao encerramento das atividades letivas, irá ser criado “um mecanismo especial que assegure remuneração parcial em conjunto com as entidades patronais de forma a minorar o impacto negativo no rendimento das famílias”.
António Costa garantiu ainda medidas especiais para “profissionais de saúde, forças de segurança, de serviços de emergência, que também tendo filhos, são indispensáveis ao funcionamento do Serviço Nacional de Saúde e socorro”.
Horas antes, e numa conferência de imprensa curta e sem novidades, Graça Freitas, Diretora Geral de Saúde, lembrou também outras medidas que implicam mudanças das rotinas, mas que podem ser muito úteis, da lavagem de mãos a medidas de “etiqueta respiratória” (cuidados quando se espirra, por exemplo), ou medidas de distanciamento social, como evitar aglomerados.
António Sales, secretário de Estado da Saúde, falou também do primeiro caso de recuperação da doença em Portugal, que é “um sinal de esperança”, e advertiu que as “preocupações coletivas não podem condicionar decisões políticas”.
O novo coronavírus responsável pelo Covid-19 foi detetado em dezembro, na China, e já provocou mais de 4.600 mortos em todo o mundo, levando a Organização Mundial de Saúde a declarar a doença como pandemia.
O número de casos confirmados de infeção pelo novo coronavírus que causa a doença Covid-19 subiu para 78 esta quinta-feira, mais 19 do que os contabilizados no dia anterior, anunciou esta quinta-feira a Direção-Geral da Saúde (DGS).
