Registou-se mais um episódio de atropelamento no centro da cidade de Vila Nova de Famalicão. O acidente aconteceu numa das passadeiras da Avenida Marechal Humberto Delgado, no sentido sul – norte, nas proximidades do mercado municipal.
Para o local foram acionadas as duas corporações de bombeiros da cidade, sendo que o primeiro alerta foi dado às 18h05 aos B.V.Famalicão.
A vítima, uma mulher com cerca de 30 anos, acabou por ser transportada para a unidade de Vila Nova de Famalicão do Centro Hospitalar do Médio Ave.
Jorge Paulo Oliveira voltou a defender, na manhã desta quarta-feira, na Assembleia da República, a criação do Destacamento Territorial da GNR de Vila Nova de Famalicão. No entanto, o deputado do PSD admite que a materialização da estrutura apresenta dificuldades várias, pelo que defendeu perante Eduardo Cabrita, ministro da Administração Interna, uma solução intermédia – a criação do Subdestacamento Territorial de Famalicão.
O eleito famalicense diz que a dimensão territorial, populacional, económica e social do município mais do que justifica a criação daquela estrutura, que, a seu ver, permitiria a desvinculação dos três Postos dos Comandos Territoriais existentes – Joane, Riba de Ave e Famalicão – da tutela do Destacamento de Barcelos da GNR.
Esta desvinculação, ainda segundo Jorge Paulo Oliveira, permitiria reforçar o quadro de efetivos e avançar para a reabilitação do atual posto da GNR de Famalicão que, dos três que o município dispõe, é o que apresenta maiores problemas em termos de conservação dos espaços.
Esta não é a primeira vez que o deputado do PSD desafia o ministro da Administração Interna a revelar a disponibilidade do Governo para a criação desta estrutura que traria para o concelho unidades importantes como o Núcleo de Investigação Criminal e o Núcleo de Proteção do Ambiente. Jorge Paulo Oliveira chegou mesmo a dizer que, se na discussão do Orçamento do Estado do ano passado, quando questionado o ministro nada disse, também agora, Eduardo Cabrita não se pronunciou.
Estão abertas as inscrições para a quinta edição do “Programar em Rede”, uma iniciativa promovida pela Câmara Municipal de Vila Nova de Famalicão destinada a apoiar, com um montante até 10 mil euros, um projeto cultural que seja promovido em conjunto por várias associações e instituições do concelho.
O objetivo é envolver os vários agentes culturais do concelho na concretização de um evento que se diferencie pela inovação e criatividade, pela capacidade de articulação com outros agentes culturais, pela capacidade de mobilização e atração de público e que contribua para a descentralização da atividade cultural no concelho. O projeto vencedor deve ser concretizado entre 1 de janeiro e 30 de julho de 2021.
Podem candidatar-se ao “Programar em Rede” as entidades com atividade no domínio cultural que tenham sede em Famalicão ou que, sendo de fora, promovam atividades de interesse municipal e sejam pessoas coletivas legalmente constituídas.
As entidades que apresentem candidatura podem optar pelas áreas artísticas e de criação que assim entenderem, sendo mais valorizados os projetos que apresentem cruzamentos disciplinares e apostem na formação de públicos.
Caberá à divisão de Cultura e Turismo do município a verificação da conformidade das candidaturas, a avaliação e decisão do projeto vencedor será da responsabilidade do Conselho Municipal da Cultura.
Recorde-se que a iniciativa “Programar em Rede” arrancou em 2016, com a Fundação Cupertino de Miranda a arrecadar o prémio com o projeto cultural “Museus Ilustrados em Rede”. Em 2017, a grande vencedora foi “A Casa ao Lado” com o projeto de arte urbana intitulado “Traço”. O vencedor da edição de 2018 foi a Associação Dar-as-Mãos com o projeto “Poesia Invade a Cidade” e em 2019 venceu a Associação de Moradores das Lameiras, com o projeto “Marc@s, Intervenção pela Arte & Cultura – Pela Coesão Comunitária”.
De acordo com os resultados de um estudo de investigadores do Instituto de Saúde Pública de Barcelona (ISPB), divulgado em comunicado, Portugal está entre os países em que a concentração de trihalometanos (THM) compostos tem picos que ultrapassam o máximo de 100 microgramas por litro permitidos na União Europeia (UE) e que estão também estipulados na legislação nacional. Os dados compilados pelo estudo indicam, no entanto, que a concentração anual média de THM na água da torneira em Portugal é de 23,8 microgramas por litro.
Os trihalometanos (THM) formam-se no processo de desinfeção da água e são um conjunto de quatro compostos orgânicos: Clorofórmio (CHCl3), Bromodiclorometano (CHBrCl2), Dibromoclorometano (CHBr2Cl) e Bromofórmio (CHBr3). O potencial carcinogénico dos THM já era conhecido, mas o estudo divulgado hoje pretende estabelecer uma relação direta entre a exposição a esses compostos e casos de cancro da bexiga.
“Investigações anteriores haviam estabelecido uma associação entre a exposição prolongada a THM – seja por ingestão, inalação ou absorção dérmica – e o aumento do risco de cancro da bexiga”, refere o comunicado do ISPB.
O ISPB analisou a presença de trihalometanos na água da torneira de 26 países da UE, à exceção da Bulgária e da Roménia.
Em termos de percentagem, o ISPB lista como países com maior incidência de casos de cancro da bexiga atribuíveis a exposição a THM Chipre (23%), Malta (17%), Irlanda (17%), Espanha (11%) e a Grécia (10%). Portugal regista uma incidência de 9,1%.
No extremo oposto estão a Dinamarca (0%), a Holanda (0,1%), a Alemanha (0,2%) a Áustria (0,4%) e a Lituânia (0,4%).
Os autores do estudo, publicado no boletim científico Environmental Health Perspectives, analisaram dados recentes sobre os níveis de THM nas redes municipais de água da Europa e estimaram a carga de doença para o cancro da bexiga atribuível à exposição a este composto.
“O maior desafio foi recolher dados representativos sobre os níveis nacionais em todos os países da UE. Esperamos que estes dados estejam mais prontamente acessíveis no futuro”, disse Cristina Villanueva, investigadora que coordenou o estudo.
Os investigadores enviaram questionários a entidades responsáveis pela qualidade da água municipal a requisitar informação sobre a concentração total e individual de trihalometanos nas torneiras da rede de distribuição e nas estações de tratamento de água. Complementarmente, foram obtidos dados de outras fontes, como publicações ‘online’, relatórios e literatura científica.
Foram obtidos dados de 2015 a 2018 em 26 países da União Europeia, cobrindo 75% da população, que revelaram diferenças consideráveis entre países.
O nível médio de trihalometanos na água potável situou-se abaixo do limite máximo permitido na União Europeia em todos os países, mas os picos de concentrações máximas reportadas excederam o limite em nove países (Chipre, Estónia, Hungria, Irlanda, Itália, Polónia, Portugal, Espanha e Reino Unido).
O número potencial de casos de cancro na bexiga foi estimado através de um cálculo estatístico relacionando os níveis médios de THM com a informação internacional disponível sobre as taxas de incidência deste tipo de cancro em cada país.
No total, os investigadores concluíram que 6.561 casos de cancro da bexiga por ano na UE são atribuíveis à exposição a trihalometanos.
Os autores do estudo recomendam que os países com níveis mais elevados de THM na água tratada façam esforços para reduzir esses compostos e estimam que, se os 13 países com os níveis mais elevados de THM reduzissem essa concentração, poderiam ser potencialmente evitados 44% dos casos anuais de cancro da bexiga atribuíveis a exposição a THM.
