O pai de uma criança de 2 anos conseguiu salvá-la de morrer afogada, na tarde deste domingo, na freguesia de Guidões, na Trofa.
A criança terá aproveitado uma distração dos pais para ir para junto da piscina da habitação onde reside. Acabou por cair no interior e só terá sido retirada pelo pai cerca de 2 minutos depois, já inconsciente.
A reanimação foi feita com sucesso por parte do progenitor e, momentos depois, assistida pelos bombeiros da Trofa e VMER da unidade de Famalicão do Centro Hospitalar do Médio Ave.
De acordo com o Correio da Manhã, a vítima, que não corre risco de vida, terá sido transportada para a pediatria do hospital de S.João do Porto.
Realiza-se este domingo, dia 10 de março, o 8.º encontro Troca de Sementes de Famalicão, uma iniciativa promovida pela Associação Famalicão em Transição em parceria com a Câmara Municipal, com o objetivo de promover a recolha e partilha de sementes, de forma a contribuir para a preservação da biodiversidade das variedades alimentares tradicionais e cada vez mais raras.
A iniciativa decorrerá na Central de Camionagem de Famalicão, entre as 14h00 e as 17h00, e desta vez estará também associada à realização de um “Mercado da Primavera”, com a presença de vários projetos, produtos e serviços que apelam para um consumo mais consciente, sustentável e biológico, com menos desperdício e menos lixo.
Estão já confirmadas as presenças dos seguintes projetos: BeWell Reflexologia, Bionutriline, Caseira Nova, Cindinha Bulk Store, Green Diamond, Horticultura Terapêutica, KOLLIB, Mãe Natureza, Marta Carvalho – Taças Tibetanas, Mimos da Natureza, Quinta do Vinhal Papelaria, Rosário Castro – Lavores, Saardinha, SÁBio Sustentabilidade Ambiental Biológica e Yogurtnest.
Quanto ao programa do evento, nota para a realização do workshop “Enxertia”, entre as 10h00 e as 12h30, onde serão dadas a conhecer as diferentes técnicas de enxertia mais utilizadas na agricultura.
A abertura do Mercado da Primavera e da Troca de Sementes está marcada para as 14h00, com a conversa “Transição Para Um Consumo Mais Consciente”.
É já durante a próxima semana, de 11 a 16 de março, que a Biblioteca Municipal Camilo Castelo Branco de Vila Nova de Famalicão organiza mais uma edição da Semana da Leitura das Bibliotecas de Famalicão, com a realização de cerca de três dezenas de atividades para todos os públicos.
Trata-se da décima edição desta iniciativa que tem como principal objetivo despertar as comunidades para a importância do livro e da leitura para o desenvolvimento do ser humano, criando novos leitores e fomentando o hábito da leitura.
Feiras do livro, encontros com escritores, oficinas, apresentações de livros, dramatizações e leituras criativas são algumas das atividades propostas.
Assim, e já no próximo dia 11 de março, pelas 15h00, terá lugar na Biblioteca Municipal Camilo Castelo Branco a sessão de abertura da 10.ª Semana da Leitura das Bibliotecas de Vila Nova de Famalicão, que contará com a presença do Vereador da Educação e Conhecimento, Leonel Rocha; do Coordenador Interconcelhio das Bibliotecas Escolares, António Pires, e da Autora do projeto editorial “(Re)contando – Histórias da Lusofonia”, Carla Monteiro, especialmente convidada para ser a “madrinha” da edição deste ano.
O projeto editorial “(Re)contando – Histórias da Lusofonia” tem como objetivo a promoção da palavra oral e escrita e a divulgação da diversidade cultural da Lusofonia. Em espirito cooperativo e solidário, este projeto tem como veículo de informação o (re)conto e a ilustração, permitindo aos autores a livre expressão literária e plástica dentro do tema “histórias da lusofonia”.
Do programa cultural da Semana da Leitura destaca-se, a atividade Famalicão a LER, uma iniciativa de cariz simbólico mas que se pretende significativa, a realizar no dia 14 de março, pelas 10h15, e que se assume como o evento concelhio que envolve, em simultâneo, escolas, instituições, autarquia e rádios locais, entre outras organizações. O que se pretende com a iniciativa Famalicão a LER é que durante 15 minutos todos os famalicenses possam interromper os seus afazeres para usufruir de breves momentos de leitura, seja ela de um livro, de um jornal ou de uma revista. O particular envolvimento das rádios locais, nomeadamente a Rádio Cidade Hoje e a Rádio Digital, permitirá ampliar o objetivo proposto, transportando a leitura para o domínio público e coletivo e potenciando, ainda mais, a promoção do livro e da leitura.
A destacar ainda do programa da Semana da Leitura Concelhia temos os encontros com as escritoras Carla Garrido, Teresa Azevedo e Carmen Santana e o escritor Agostinho Fernandes; a sessão informativa de Pais IN/Formados com o tema “Birras: o meu filho desafia-me, e agora?”; a sessão “Contos na pele” dinamizada pela fisioterapeuta Cecília Pinheiro e a apresentação do livro “A aventura do leão teimoso”, de José Francisco Rica”.
Nem só de um bom relvado vive um campo de futebol. Foi com este pensamento que a Câmara Municipal de Vila Nova de Famalicão avançou recentemente com um conjunto de obras de beneficiação em vários recintos desportivos do concelho, entre eles o do Grupo Desportivo de Joane, que esta quinta-feira, dia 7, inaugurou o seu novo sistema de iluminação LED.
Para o presidente da Câmara Municipal, Paulo Cunha, esta intervenção, que implicou um investimento municipal de 30 mil euros, vem trazer melhores condições de treino para os cerca de 280 atletas da formação e equipa sénior do clube. “Todo o relvado reúne agora condições para que os treinos decorram com qualidade e, sobretudo, com segurança, porque o défice de iluminação estava na origem de algumas lesões”, disse o edil.
Com esta intervenção o presidente do Grupo Desportivo de Joane, Custódio Baptista, espera que o clube consiga cativar mais atletas. Concluída que está mais uma etapa, o dirigente do Joane aponta já baterias para o futuro: “Não vamos parar, temos mais obra para fazer”, referiu.
Recorde-se que para além desta inauguração em Joane, na semana passada Paulo Cunha inaugurou as obras de requalificação dos balneários e o novo sistema de iluminação LED da União Desportiva de Calendário. Neste mês de março serão ainda inauguradas as intervenções realizadas nos campos do Bairro Futebol Clube, Clube Desportivo de Lousado e Grupo Desportivo de Cavalões.
No total, estas cinco intervenções implicaram um investimento municipal de cerca de 140 mil euros.
