A Didáxis está autorizada a abrir turmas do 5.º ano, com ensino gratuito e garantia de continuidade no 6.º ano de escolaridade. A confirmação surge pelo presidente da instituição, José Fernandes, que se mostra feliz com a medida do Governo que vai, assim, cumprir o contrato que a Didáxis firmou em 2015.
O limite de turmas no 5.º ano, segundo o contrato de associação, é de 8 em S. Cosme e 7 na escola de Riba de Ave.
Podem, assim, os encarregados de educação fazer a pré-inscrição dos filhos na secretaria das escolas ou através da página da internet.
Décimo sexto classificado à geral, Miguel Campos, navegado por António Costa, foi, pela terceira vez consecutiva, o melhor português no Vodafone Rally de Portugal. A dupla do Skoda Fabia R5 assumiu como propósito terminar com este “título” e conseguiu-o.
O piloto famalicense esteve na frente da “classificação” lusa praticamente durante toda a prova e acabou com uma vantagem superior a seis minutos sobre o segundo classificado, Pedro Meireles/Mário Castro, também em Skoda Fabia. Miguel Campos também correu pelo WRC2 e terminou bem perto do pódio, no quarto posto.
No final, Miguel Campos revelou-se agradado com a sua prestação. «Foi um bom resultado. Podia ter feito melhor, mas desde cedo vi e percebi que estava a lutar com equipas oficiais. A partir desse momento, nas zonas com pior piso tive que levantar o pé, para poupar o carro e não ter nenhum problema, mas cuidando sempre por não perder muito tempo para os WRC2. Para o campeonato, distanciei-me muito cedo dos meus adversários e, depois, fui gerindo».
O Secretário de Estado Adjunto e da Saúde, Fernando Araújo, presidiu, no sábado, dia 20, em Riba de Ave, à cerimónia de lançamento da primeira pedra do Centro de Investigação, Diagnóstico, Formação e Acompanhamento das Demências, promovido pela Santa Casa da Misericórdia.
A obra, que deverá ficar concluída em 2019, vai custar 8,5 milhões de euros e, por enquanto, sem ajudas do Estado português.
O Centro para as Demências é um projecto pioneiro nesta área, mas com o objetivo de ser uma referência para o país, onde se estima que existam 160 mil pessoas com estas patologias.
Isso mesmo ambiciona o Secretário de Estado Adjunto e da Saúde. «Queremos muito acompanhar este projeto e tirar daqui resultados do mesmo para depois poder aplicar a outros locais do país. Será uma experiência piloto e um local de excelência para testar novos conceitos», referiu o estadista na cerimónia solene que decorreu em Riba de Ave, com várias entidades em representação de instituições públicas e privadas.
Fernando Araújo reconhece que faltam respostas neste país ao nível da demência e mesmo um conhecimento da real dimensão do problema. Por isso, o governante anunciou que a Estratégia Nacional para a Demência deverá ficar concluída em Junho, antes das eleições, para, depois de uma discussão pública, serem tomadas medidas a médio e longo prazo. «Não há soluções simples mas queremos encontrar boas soluções», disse, acrescentando que o projeto da Santa da Misericórdia de Riba de Ave irá ser um valor acrescentado para esta estratégia. Desde logo porque conjuga a assistência com a investigação e o Hospital com a Universidade. Neste caso, o Instituto de Ciências Biomédicas Abel Salazar.
O provedor da Santa Casa da Misericórdia de Riba de Ave, Fernando Guedes, destacava a importância da parceria para a melhoria das práticas e para a valorização dos profissionais. Ao passo que António Sousa Pereira, do Instituto de Ciências Biomédicas Abel Salazar, deposita grandes esperanças no projeto. «É uma parceria virtuosa. Ambos ficamos a ganhar e deveria ser replicada noutras situações para tirar a Universidade da torre de marfim em que se encontra instalada», realçou. António Pereira salientou ainda a rapidez de execução deste projeto que num curto espaço de tempo passou da conceção à execução, o que lhe dá garantias de uma maior adequação à realidade e «é sinal de dinamismo».
Parceria idêntica é o que o provedor espera que venha a existir com o Governo, desde logo no apoio financeiro à obra e aos serviços que vierem a ser administrados, nomeadamente apoio domiciliário, unidade de dia, internamento diferenciado e cuidados paliativos.
O concurso público internacional será lançado dentro de duas semanas e, para já, à custa da Santa Casa da Misericórdia, que irá avançar com a obra mesmo sem garantias do Governo. O provedor dá conta que a Santa Casa tem tido uma gestão rigorosa e, mesmo assim, terá de recorrer aos bancos. Fernando Guedes espera do Governo um apoio pelo menos nos mesmos moldes do que é conseguido para os normais cuidados continuados.
Há ainda uma outra vertente realçada pelo provedor e que tem a ver com os 120 postos de trabalho que irão ser criados. Um número que agrada à Câmara Municipal de Famalicão, representada nesta cerimónia pela vereadora da Família, Sofia Fernandes. A autarca frisou que esta é uma obra de especial importância para Famalicão e para o país «na proteção e auxílio aos cidadãos numa área com respostas ainda muito deficitárias». Sofia Fernandes entende que as doenças neurodegenerativas precisam de respostas técnicas «mas, ao mesmo tempo, de respostas humanas».
Está em curso uma campanha de promoção dos 53 cursos profissionais existentes nas 12 escolas da Rede Local de Educação e Formação. O objetivo é a valorização do ensino profissional e a demonstração da sua qualidade que se reflete nas competências dos alunos formados.
Participam nesta campanha de promoção 18 personalidades que vão procurar atrair mais jovens para esta via de ensino, já frequentada por 53% dos alunos do ensino secundário.
Esta via de ensino é referenciada como garantia de mais emprego, graças ao poder industrial do concelho e à oferta formativa concertada com as necessidades das empresas. Assim acredita a Rede Local de Educação e Formação, de que faz parte a Câmara Municipal de Famalicão. É a Rede a responsável por um diagnóstico rigoroso das necessidades do mercado que procura responder com cursos adequados.
A mensagem desta campanha vai estar presente nos órgãos de comunicação social, nas paragens de autocarro, nas escolas ou em canais físicos e digitais de comunicação. A mensagem é comum: os cursos profissionais são uma escolha acertada. Os promotores da mensagem são 18 profissionais que frequentaram o ensino profissional e hoje têm uma carreira bem-sucedida. É o caso de Renato Cunha, chef e proprietário do Restaurante Ferrugem. «Considero que uma boa parte de mim é produto do ensino profissional», pode ler-se num dos suportes físicos da campanha.

A coligação PSD/CDS-PP renovou votos para o próximo mandato autárquico mas não apresentou candidatos. Paulo Cunha, líder da concelhia do PSD e atual presidente de Câmara, disse que o primeiro passo era o acordo entre os dois partidos; depois virão as políticas que diz que devem assentar em áreas como a educação, emprego e empreendedorismo e ação social; só depois serão escolhidos os intérpretes dessas políticas. Acrescentou que não há nenhum candidato óbvio. «A minha recandidatura é um cenário que se pode colocar a seu tempo, mas neste momento não está colocado. Estamos muito concentrados na governação autárquica», afirmou Paulo Cunha, admitindo que «tem sido muito gratificante servir os famalicenses. É uma sensação boa e não escondo a minha atracão pela função autárquica».
Paulo Cunha não falou em nomes para as autárquicas mas traçou o perfil. «Queremos pessoas que tenham os dois pés em Vila Nova de Famalicão, que estejam disponíveis para a tempo integral defender os interesses do nosso concelho de forma intransigente. O nosso concelho não se compadece com atividades a meio tempo, com ações a título parcial; o nosso concelho exige disponibilidade total; merece ser representado por mulheres e homens que todos os dias só pensem em Famalicão, só estejam preocupados com o nosso futuro e que olhem para Famalicão como fim último da sua ação», afirmou. Não incluiu Nuno Melo, a quem classificou como uma cidadão europeu com coração em Famalicão, e que gostava de continuar a ver à frente da Assembleia Municipal.
A apresentação do acordo de coligação entre PSD/CDS-PP ocorreu no auditório da Fundação Cupertino de Miranda, centro da cidade, ao final da tarde de segunda-feira, com a presença de militantes e simpatizantes das duas forças partidárias.
O líder da concelhia do CDS-PP, Ricardo Mendes, disse que o acordo foi fácil, «e nem precisou de ser negociado», porque os dois partidos têm um só interesse que é Vila Nova de Famalicão. O também vice-presidente de Câmara frisou que foi em nome desse trabalho conjunto que o concelho de Famalicão sedimentou a sua posição como concelho familiarmente responsável, como concelho bom para viver e como a maior força exportadora do Norte.
Mas o desafio mantém-se, adiantou Ricardo Mendes. «E se a evolução é notável e há uma grande confiança e participação cívica», esse é um caminho para continuar, frisou.
Paulo Cunha também fez uma espécie de balanço dos últimos quatro anos de mandato. Começou por elogiar a gestão de Armindo Costa. «Encontramos uma Câmara com saúde financeira, uma Câmara que estava bem governada. Herdamos um legado responsabilizante e quatro anos depois podemos dizer que cumprimos esse legado». O líder do PSD considera, mesmo, que os compromissos de 2013 foram superados e descreve qual foi a estratégia: «temos uma situação de união no concelho em torno dos objetivos e isto só aconteceu porque cultivamos esta relação com as pessoas. Quisemos estar próximos, disponíveis e dialogantes».
Depois de um mandato na oposição e quatro no poder, a coligação PSD/CDS-PP renova votos para as autárquicas de 1 de Outubro de 2017. As quatro vitórias (2001, 2005, 2009 e 2013) foram com maioria absoluta.
A Cooperativa Elétrica de S. Simão de Novais é a segunda mais antiga do país, já com 85 anos, mas está à frente no grau de modernidade. Entre 2014 e 2016 instalou 3500 contadores (trifásico e monofásico) do tipo inteligente, 30 routers, 30 antenas exteriores, um sistema de transmissão por fibra ótica e um sistema de telecontagem. Este investimento, na ordem de um milhão de euros, permite «economizar, rentabilizar e melhor servir», como realçou Francisco Rodrigues da Administração.
Neste aspeto, a Cooperativa Elétrica de S. Simão de Novais está à frente de outros grandes distribuidores do país, mas a direção acredita que esta é a postura para vencer num mercado dominado por gigantes como a EDP.
Outro segredo para a sua vitalidade é um serviço mais próximo das populações, atento aos seus problemas, para uma rápida resolução. «Temos um espírito de missão e ao servirmos bem, ao termos a nossa rede protegida, estamos a reduzir custos e a poder ser competitivos», continua Francisco Rodrigues.
O administrador presidente da Cooperativa, Manuel Vilela, realça ainda outros dois fatores importantes: saber negociar para ter o melhor preço da energia, «melhor que a EDP»; ter custos reduzidos com a direção e os serviços administrativos. «Os cooperadores não recebem dividendos e os excedentes (lucro) revertem para investimento», afirma Manuel Vilela.
Paulo Cunha, presidente da Câmara Municipal de Famalicão, destaca ainda outra caraterística digna de registo da Cooperativa Elétrica que é a sua preocupação social, visível no complexo de piscinas que abriu à população e noutras ligações que estabelece com o meio.
O autarca efetuou esta visita no dia 18, no âmbito do programa Made In que se destina a apoiar o empreendedorismo e o investimento. Depois de ouvir a direção e de visitar a instituição, incluindo o Museu, Paulo Cunha realçou o papel da Cooperativa na eletrificação de uma área do território famalicense ainda não contemplada.
Estávamos na década de trinta do século XX e a Cooperativa fazia a distribuição de energia eletrica em baixa tensão às casas de S. Simão, Ruivães, Bente, Landim, Carreira e Seide S. Miguel. Hoje são 3500 clientes e inclui distribuição à rede pública. A concessão desta área tem sido renovada pela Câmara Municipal de Famalicão.
«Num mercado de grande concorrência tem conseguido resultados fantásticos e quem beneficia são as populações. Tem menos custos e um melhor serviço. Um serviço mais próximo e com uma resposta mais célere, o que significa que é um modelo acertado e que a Câmara Municipal acarinha», realça Paulo Cunha.
