No passado sábado, dia 2 de julho, realizou-se o encontro anual de velhas guardas do FC Famalicão. O ponto de encontro foi junto ao Estádio Municipal, seguindo-se uma visita à academia do clube, guiada pelo presidente Jorge Silva que mostrou todos os cantos da casa. Foi com muito agrado que os presentes viram a nova realidade e grandeza do clube, algo impensável na década de 60/70.
Este encontro, que decorreu sempre na observância das regras de saúde, determinadas pela DGS em virtude da pandemia covid-19, teve, ainda, um almoço, no restaurante os Eugénio´s.
Os organizadores assinalam a sua satisfação por, pela primeira vez, desde que este almoço se realiza – e lá vão quase três décadas -, um presidente do clube ter marcado presença neste convívio.
No próximo ano, o almoço será em Lá Guardia, Espanha, terra do ex-jogador Villas.
O último relatório da Direção-Geral de Saúde assinala mais 1483 novos casos e cinco mortes. Nas últimas 24 horas, registaram-se 773 recuperados.
Relativamente à região norte, há 314 novos infetados e uma morte. A maioria dos casos continua a verificar-se na região de Lisboa e Vale do Tejo, com 802, e 3 mortes.
Os internamentos continuam a subir; em enfermarias há 613 8+46) e em uci são 136 (+8).

O piloto famalicense foi segundo classificado na Peugeot 208 Rally Cup de França, no Rallye Castine Terre D´Occitanie, que se disputou este fim de semana. A este bom resultado, Pedro Almeida associa três vitórias em especiais da prova e lidera o troféu.
Tendo a seu lado, e pela primeira vez, o navegador Carlos Magalhães, Pedro Almeida confere que o resultado «foi surpreendente» mas, ao mesmo tempo, atesta «a evolução que procurávamos há muito» e «o Carlos, pela sua experiência, ajudou-me imenso».
Da prova, Pedro Almeida diz que «atacamos e conseguimos no primeiro dia andar sempre entre os carros mais rápidos do troféu. Apenas na parte final do rali gerimos um pouco o andamento e o segundo lugar à geral é importante para nós, que somamos pontos no troféu».
Com o segundo lugar alcançado, a somar à terceira posição na primeira prova do calendário, Pedro Almeida lidera agora a competição.«É ainda muito cedo para fazer perspetivas do que podemos fazer no campeonato, mas estamos muito satisfeitos com o comportamento que temos tido, numa competição muito disputada e onde acima de tudo queremos evoluir» disse.
O Rafael e o Tiago, alunos no Agrupamento de Escolas Camilo Castelo Branco, terminaram mais um ano lectivo, 9º e 7º anos respetivamente, com média de 5 valores, mas não avançam de ano, por não terem frequentado a disciplina de Cidadania e Desenvolvimento.

No mesmo evento desportivo, mas a participar na distância dos 1500 metros, o júnior Alfredo Fernandes estabeleceu um novo recorde pessoal, a apenas 7 milésimos dos mínimos exigidos para o Campeonato Nacional de Juniores.
Leonel Rocha foi apresentado ao final da tarde deste domingo como candidato da Coligação Mais Ação. Mais Famalicão, à Junta de Freguesia. Confiante, assumiu que «serei o presidente da Junta de Ribeirão, a maior vila do concelho, que ainda precisa de muito para proporcionar aos ribeirenses mais mobilidade, mais bem-estar e mais inovação».
O candidato a suceder a Adelino Oliveira, também presente na cerimónia, elogiou «o grande trabalho» dos últimos presidentes de junta, mas quer que a localidade atinja «um patamar mais elevado», assumindo, perante a plateia, vários compromissos para o alcançar e para os quais conta com o apoio de Mário Passos. O candidato da Coligação à Câmara de Famalicão de imediato assumiu que os compromissos «do Leonel são também os meus», prometendo uma estreita ligação com as comunidade locais, em prol de um «desenvolvimento equilibrado».

A apresentação da candidatura de Leonel Rocha decorreu no exterior das Piscinas Municipais, obra pela qual lutou e que conseguiu concretizar com o presidente Armindo Costa. A cerimónia contou com a presença de Paulo Cunha, mandatário da candidatura de Mário Passos, que, enquanto presidente da Câmara trabalhou com os dois candidatos e que, por isso, testemunhou, «as qualidades e competências autárquicas e humanas de ambos»
O mesmo testemunho deu Adelino Oliveira, atual presidente da Junta de Freguesia, que trabalhou com os dois vereadores ao longo dos últimos três mandatos. «Competência , qualidade, disponibilidade, conhecimento», foram características sublinhadas pelo autarca.
A mandatária da candidatura de Leonel Rocha à vila é a professora Ivone Lima. Os mandatários da Juventude são Sara Azevedo e Diogo Ribeiro.
