As obras de adaptação e remodelação foram inauguradas no passado sábado, pelo presidente da Câmara Municipal de Vila Nova de Famalicão, Paulo Cunha e pelo presidente da Junta de Freguesia, Manuel Novais, numa sessão que ficou marcada pela presença de muitos populares.
Para Manuel Novais “esta intervenção é um exemplo de como as pequenas obras podem trazer grandes benefícios”.
No fundo, “mudaram-se os serviços de secretaria e do atendimento ao público para o rés-do-chão tornando-os acessíveis a toda a população”. Na parte superior está a sala de reuniões, a sala das associações e o gabinete do presidente.
Para Paulo Cunha, “esta mudança demonstra bem a preocupação e o cuidado desta junta de freguesia com a sua população. Assim, fica demonstrado que “as pessoas estão sempre em primeiro lugar”.
O médico Manuel Afonso Almeida Pinto será alvo de uma homenagem no próximo mês de Setembro promovida por um conjunto de amigos e admiradores.
O coordenador desta homenagem, Francisco Mesquita, revelou que “efectivamente esta homenagem está a ser organizada por um conjunto de amigos e que desde há algumas semanas tem tido a adesão, de inúmeros famalicenses que querem tomar parte nesta iniciativa”, acrescentando que “quando alguém toca tantas vidas no exercício da sua prática clínica e envolvimento na comunidade em que está inserido não é de admirar que, sendo esta uma “terra de amigos”, Vila Nova de Famalicão se una em torno deste singelo acto de agradecimento e amizade que tão somente quer retribuir com um simples “obrigado” todo o trajecto de vida de um dos nossos conterrâneos”.
Recorde-se que Manuel Afonso de Almeida Pinto, iniciou funções como médico no Hospital de Famalicão, em 1965, depois de ter completado o curso clínico na Faculdade de Medicina da Universidade do Porto. Mobilizado para Moçambique em 1967 como médico miliciano, regressa a Portugal para ingressar no Hospital de S. João onde se especializa em Ortopedia e Traumatologia. Terminada a Especialidade, ingressa como Especialista de Ortopedia e Traumatologia no Hospital de Famalicão, onde realizou o seu percurso como médico, chegando a Director do Serviço de Ortopedia e Traumatologia e Presidente do Conselho de Administração do Hospital de Famalicão.
O deputado famalicense na Assembleia da Republica, Jorge Paulo Oliveira defendeu a necessidade de se voltar a insistir com a desvinculação dos Postos dos Comandos Territoriais de Famalicão, Riba de Ave e Joane, da tutela operacional do Destacamento de Barcelos da GNR. A criação de um Subdestacamento em Famalicão pode ser uma solução intermédia e evolutiva à situação presente admite o social democrata.
Jorge Paulo Oliveira, acompanhado de Cristina Peixoto, Presidente do Núcleo do PSD de Joane e de Luís Barroso, dirigente da JSD concelhia, esteve esta segunda feira em visita ao Posto do Comando Territorial da GNR da Vila de Joane. À semelhança das deslocações efetuadas aos outros Postos territoriais existentes no concelho, a visita serviu o propósito do deputado à Assembleia da República se inteirar das condições de trabalho dos agentes e do serviço que é prestado à comunidade.
Inaugurado há perto de uma década, o edifício do Posto do Comando Territorial na Vila de Joane é, dos três existentes no concelho, aquele que melhores condições infraestruturais apresenta, quer em termos de trabalho dos próprios militares quer de receção do público em geral.
Jorge Paulo Oliveira, aproveitou a visita e a presença do próprio Comandante do Destacamento Territorial de Barcelos, do qual o Posto da GNR de Joane, como sucede com os de Famalicão e Riba de Ave, dele dependem em termos operacionais, para defender a criação do Destacamento Territorial de Vila Nova de Famalicão “que nunca passou de uma boa intenção no papel”.
O deputado famalicense lembrou que a criação deste destacamento data de 16 de dezembro de 2008, mas nunca viu a luz do dia. “A dimensão territorial, populacional, económica e social, expressa ademais na existência de 3 postos territoriais da GNR, recomenda que Vila Nova de Famalicão seja dotado de um escalão eminentemente operacional”, disse o social democrata. “Não advogamos a extinção do Destacamento de Barcelos, mas apenas a criação do de Vila Nova de Famalicão” esclarece.
“Teríamos muito a ganhar com isso”, exemplificando o social democrata com a vinda para o concelho de unidades importantes como os do Núcleo de Investigação Criminal (NIC), o Núcleo de Proteção do Ambiente (NPA) ou a Secção de Programas Especiais (SPE) que, por seu turno, inclui unidades especificas como a Escola Segura, Idosos em Segurança ou o Comércio Seguro.
“Sabemos que a concretização desta vontade não é fácil. Exige avultados investimentos financeiros e disponibilidade de recursos humanos que escasseiam. Mas é preciso fazer esse caminho de reivindicação. É preciso colocar na agenda politica esta necessidade. De outra forma ela nunca se concretizará” disse Jorge Paulo Oliveira.
Reconhecendo a existência dessas dificuldades, Jorge Paulo Oliveira não deixa por isso de avançar com uma solução alternativa e intermédia. “No mínimo devemos lutar pela criação do Subdestacamento Territorial de Famalicão que permitiria reforçar o quadro dos efetivos, com todas as vantagens que dai adviriam, e aproveitar a circunstância para proceder a uma intervenção profunda de reabilitação do atual posto da GNR de Famalicão”, sustentou o deputado social democrata.
“Há semelhança do que aconteceu no passado e acontece no presente, estou certo que o município não deixará de colaborar empenhadamente com o Ministério da Administração Interna, como sempre o fez, para que uma ou outra solução ambição possa avançar”, assegurou Jorge Paulo Oliveira.
Depois de no fim de semana passado, a Equipa de Atletismo Papa Léguas de Famalicão, se ter sagrado Campeã Regional de Atletismo no escalão de Iniciados Masculinos e Femininos, este fim de semana acrescentou o Título de Campeã Regional de Infantis Masculinos e Femininos, esta competição realizou-se na Pista de Atletismo do Estádio 1º de Maio, em Braga.

A Escola Atletismo Rosa Oliveira que participou nos dias 26 e 27 de maio nos Campeonatos Regionais de Infantis a Juvenis que se realizaram na pista 1º de maio em Braga, conquistou doze pódios regionais.
Em termos individuais conquistaram sete Títulos de Campeãs/ões Regionais, três de Vice Campeãs e dois de Sub Vice Campeãs.
Em destaque estiveram os seguintes atletas, Infantis: João Azevedo Campeão Regional nos 1000 e 600, Ana Faria Campeã Regional nos 1000 e 600; Iniciados: Francisco Silva Vice Campeão Regional nos 800 Rp e mínimos para os Campeonatos Nacionais, Ana Marinho Campeã Regional nos 800 rp e Vice Campeã nos 1500 com rp; Juvenis: Bruna Ortiga Campeã Regional 2000 Obst e Sub Vice Campeã nos 800.
